The gardens of Chicksands Priory are lovely and quite interesting. They have been lovingly tended by the Friends of Chicksands Walled Garden, Brigadier and Mrs. Holtom. The Chicksands Alumni Fountain is located in these gardens. The fountain was dedicated at the Millennium Reunion by Brigadier Holtom and Bill Grayson. This painting is one of my personal favorites, perhaps because of the link to all things Chicksands but I am also very pleased with the wisteria, bricks, cloud and sky reflections seen in the glass of the cold frame.
